hello everyone,
do you ever make any mistake in your life?
no,i think its the wrong question.
it is supposed to be the other way around,
who doesn't,right?
i,personally admit and i hate to do it but yes,
i did made some blunders in the past and still making it
currently working hard to improve myself in every single aspect of my life
and i believe i can do it and i should let those past mistakes bring me down but to propel me forward in life
simply because i believe that it goes without saying that we all make errors in life
because we're normal human being.
well,to err is human :)
but one thing about mistakes is that we must try our very best to treat these mistakes as a learning curve and do make some changes afterwards
its no use of you making mistakes and mistakes
all over again and yet failed to do something significant towards it.
why?
because thats the very purpose of doing a mistakes after all
to be a better person
to do something better next time around
and in fact, how are you supposed to regard something as a mistake if
you are not aware that it is not good enough or its wrong or maybe simply
its just not the way they're supposed to be right?
and you'll have to do something about it either to seek for others forgiveness of doing any mistakes or asking for Allah's mercy if we ever commit any sins
in our beautiful religion itself,we have ways to repent from our sins
and mistakes.
On the authority of Anas, who said: I heard the messenger of Allah say:
Allah the Almighty has said: “O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as its.”
Allahuakbar! How Forgiving is our Creator in whom we shall seek forgiveness.
In Islam, there are no particular words to say for asking forgiveness. However, Muslims are taught many phrases and words to keep repeating daily asking God’s forgiveness. For example:
1)Astaghfiru-Allah,
“I ask forgiveness from Allah”
2)Subhanaka-Allah humma wa bi hamdika wa ash-hadu al la Ilaha illa Anta astaghfiruka wa atubu ilayk,
"Glory be to You, Allah, and with You Praise (thanks) and I bear witness that there is no deity but You, I ask Your forgiveness and I return to You (in obedience)”.
enough lectures on mistakes.hee.
all i want to emphasize is that we all make mistakes and doing that does not make you one, don’t be overwhelmed with guilt and regret, analyze how you can learn from them.
how to learn from it,these are a few tips:
-apologise with dignity and sincerely
-avoid being a perfectionist
-don't waste time trying to justify mistakes
-understand why mistakes occured
-avoid repeating mistakes
-mistakes are opportunities to learn
-understand why we should change and do the changes
-go ahead, take the first step and just do it :)
mistakes,somehow can be related with risk taking, are essential to success. the important thing is to view mistakes as a useful stepping stone to a higher reality and better outlook on life because as said by james joyce,one of the irish author ;
mistakes are the portals of discovery
May Allah forgive us from all the mistakes that we've done and guide us in every single step that we take. Amin ya Rabbal alamin.
Allah knows best.
